Government Scholarship (China)

Description

In order to promote mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities. China Scholarship Council （hereinafter referred to as CSC）, entrusted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China （hereinafter referred to as MOE）, is responsible for the enrollment and the administration of Chinese Government Scholarship programs. Now, 279 designated Chinese universities offer a wide variety of academic programs in Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Economics, Legal Studies, Management, Education, History, Literature, Philosophy, and Fine Arts for scholarship recipients at all levels.

Tuition fee

Health insurance

Accommodation

Living stipend

Scholarship Deadline(s): From January to April each year ( each university has a different deadline but mostly is end of March).

Eligibilities

Meet the specific program requirements.
English test/s: Few universities required ielts certificate while most of the universities ask for language proficiency certificate regardless of its type, few universities don't ask of any kind of language certificates.

Required Documents

Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English) + The application form of the concerned university
Notarized highest diploma
Academic transcripts
A study plan or research proposal
Two recommendation letters
Applicants for music studies are requested to submit a CD of the applicants’ own works. Applicants for the fine arts programs must submit a CD of the applicants’ own works (including two sketches, two color paintings and two other works)
A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
NOTES:

I. Some universities required ( non-criminal record and application fees)

II. All the above mentioned documents should be sent to the university (Only a few universities don’t require hard copies, so make sure to contact them).
